This structure, located in Moncton, New Brunswick, was designed and constructed by R.C. Donald between 1921 and 1922. It was apparently inspired by Roman Arenas, but was originally designed with a concrete, conical roof. As the building neared completion, cracks appeared about 3 metres from the rim. The building inspector demanded the roof be changed to wood.
Peter Camani (pronounced Ka-mar-nee) B.A. has been an artist and teacher of Art at the Secondary School level in Ontario since the mid-'Seventies. An eclectic by nature, his interests have included marathon running, martial arts, farming, agriculture, in addition to painting and sculpture.

This was the field in which Flight 93 crashed on September 11, 2001. The passengers and crew, having realized the nature of the terrorists' plan, attempted to retake control of the aircraft. During the ensuing struggle, the aircraft crashed. The attempt, even though it ended in failure, succeeded in keeping the terrorists from using the aircraft to kill hundreds more.
