Install Your Urbex Map
After your purchase, you will receive KMZ or KML files by email. These files can be opened with Google Earth or Google My Maps.
Installation on Computer
Option 1 – Google My Maps (Browser solution)
Go to Google My Maps from your browser and sign in with your Google account.
Click on : Create a New Map
A blank map will open automatically.
Inside the left menu, click :
Then select your downloaded KMZ or KML file.
Google My Maps will automatically import all urbex locations, markers and layers included in your map.
Option 2 – Google Earth (Recommended)
Download and install Google Earth Pro on your computer or mobile device.
Open Google Earth after the installation is complete.
Click : File → Open
Then select your downloaded KMZ or KML file.
Google Earth will automatically import all urbex locations, markers and layers included in your map.
Installation on Phone
Option 1 – Phone (Google Earth)
Use Google Earth to open your Urbex Map directly from your smartphone or tablet.
Download your KMZ or KML file from your email or download page.
Install the application : Google Earth
Available on Android and iPhone.
Open the Google Earth application.
Tap : Projects
Tap : Import → Import local KML file
Select your downloaded KMZ/KML file.
